Amy Winehouse 3 Years Struggle Against Drug Addiction



For three years, singer Amy Winehouse tried to fight her addiction to drugs. Several doctors who deal with the singer of hits 'Rehab', considers that it is impossible for Amy to recover. 

It was also revealed Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse in a speech during Amy's funeral in Edgwarebury Cemetery, London, England, Tuesday (26/07/2011). Mitch reveals that his daughter had struggled to escape from the snare of drugs. 

"Amy has been three years trying to conquer her dependence on drugs, although the doctors said it was highly unlikely, but she actually did it. She tried so hard to stop drinking and she had not touched it for three weeks," Mitch said as reported by the Daily mail on Wednesday(07/27/2011). 

In his speech, Mitch also like to thank Amy's lover, Reg Traviss, During this time, Reg was trying to help Amy out of her addiction. "Reg has been greatly helped and Amy really wanted to be with him. This time of year was the happiest year for Amy," said Mitch. 

Amy's family plan to establish a foundation on her memories. The foundation also aims to help people who are addicted to drugs.
